Jennifer M, (B.S. Animal & Nutritional Sciences) Veterinary Nurse/Client Services
Jennifer is a Morgantown native and is a 2012 graduate of the Animal Science & Nutrition Program at WVU. Jenn has gained valuable experience while here at AMC and continues to learn and grow within our practice. In the time she has been with us, she has shown herself to be a fast learner, a compassionate caregiver, and a natural leader. She is currently serving as our Nursing Team Leader and oversees many of our internal quality control areas. She also assists administratively; as you cna tell, she has become quite an integral team member!
Jenn shares her home with two cats - "Kai" and "Moku" (adopted from our adoption program!). She also has a mixed breed puppy named "Meeko", who is busy keeping her grandma company. Jenn also loves the outdoors and spending time with family.
Robbin B, (A.A.S. in Veterinary Technology), Veterinary Nurse
Robbin's move to Morgantown and her desire to be in the veterinary field both happened when she was young. At the age of 5, her family relocated from New York so her father could pastor a local church here. Robbin's love for helping animals grew and she decided to pursue the veterinary field as a career. A 2013 graduate of Fairmont State University/Pierpont Community & Technical College, she gained experience during internships at Paw Prints and the WVU Office of Lab Animal Research. Her time with WVU's lab not only gained her valuable experience, but also made her the adoptive mom of 3 of their subjects. Rats Maisy, Dutchess and Jasmine all found their home with Robbin. She also rescued 2 pomeranians named Simba and Sophie. Robbin says there is nothing like the feeling of nursing a sick animal back to health and wants to be the best technician she can be.
Sydney B, RVT (AST in Veterinary Technology), Registered Veterinary Technician
Sydney came to AMC through the Vet Tech Institute in Pittsburgh, PA. She completed her externship with us and subsequently accepted a position with us upon graduation in 2014. Sydney learned valuable customer service skills in the restaurant industry where she began her vocational life in 2008. She lives in Oakland, MD, and has previous experience with Pineview Veterinary Hospital (also in Oakland). Sydney is a great addition to the AMC team. She shares her home with dogs Akira and Bo and her cat Marvin and enjoys hiking and outdoor activities.
Brittney G, (BS Animal & Nutritional Sciences), Veterinary Nurse
Originally from Harpers Ferry, WV, Brittney is a recent WVU graduate. She comes to us with a passion for training and animal behavior as well as a strong equine background. She aspires to gain her k9 trainer certification while becoming a veterinary nurse in a small practice where she can foster close connections to clients and patients. She loves helping animals and people and uses her skills and love for humans and horses volunteering with therapeutic riding centers (locally here with On Eagles’ Wings). She is the proud animal mom of canines Clyde and Nova, and felines Sterling and Meikko.
Kim F, Veterinary Assistant, Veterinary Nurse
After graduating high school in Michigan and working in Illinois, Kim's path has led her to West Virginia. Having grown up with special needs dogs, Kim's love for dogs was established and continues to grow. That love has also expanded to cats as she couldn't resist taking in a stray who now enjoys "the good life" and goes by the name Bella. Kim and her husband have a bustling home with their 2 girls (of the two legged variety) and 2 dogs (Dozer and Zoey) and cat, Bella. She is excited about having a career in animal care; since she started here with us in the Spring of 2015, she has grown into an integral member of our nursing team. She has also succumbed to the "job hazard" of adopting AMC adoptives. Former AMC Adoptive kitten, Xylon, found his home with Kim and her family.
Lori H, RVT (AST in Veterinary Technology), Registered Veterinary Technician
Lori is a Tunnelton, WV, native and a familiar face to our long time AMC clients. Lori worked here from 2005-2011 when she left us to become a stay at home homeschooling mom (although she opted to keep her RVT license current). Lori and her husband, Wesley, now have a family of 3 children that she homeschools, but she recently wanted to return to veterinary medicine so she could continue helping the "furry critters". Lori has always loved animals and loves helping their owners make sure they are healthy. She is pictured here with her dogs Buckwheat and Sam.
Beth H (BS in Environmental Biology), Veterinary Nurse
Beth worked here from 2008-2013, moved to Texas and now she’s back! She began her career in 2001 working at animal sanctuaries and moved to veterinary nursing in 2003. A native of Moundsville, WV, Beth and her husband, Ron, share their home with adopted dogs, Aunt Terrie (a toy fox terrier) and Doppleganger (a hound mix). She cannot imagine working in a place without animals and loves “sharing with owners the love for their special pets”. Fun fact: she plays roller derby for the Morgantown Roller Vixens (she is Ellie Vader, #321)!
Victoria E (WVU student), Animal Care Attendant
Originally from Mingo County, WV, Victoria is majoring in Animal Nutritional Sciences at WVU. Because Victoria loves animals and wants to help them live happy and healthy lives, she aspires to open her own veterinary practice after completing vet school. Fun fact: while she doesn’t currently have any pets of her own, she fosters for Hearts of Gold. She is pictured here with foster dog, Max.
Callie T (WVU student), Animal Care Attendant
Callie comes to us from New Jersey and moved to Morgantown to study Animal Nutritional Sciences at WVU. She is currently a senior and is also pursuing a minor in equine studies. After WVU graduation, she aspires to attend NC State for vet school and wants to practice primarily in large animal medicine upon earning her DVM. Callie loves working with animals and when she’s not studying or working at AMC, she dotes on her domestic long haired cat, Dani and her Lionhead rabbit, Kilo.
